PHASE I SITE ASSESSMENT |
TRI/CON Engineering Inc. handles Phase I Environmental Site Assessments for single-site and multi-site mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. All assessments are performed in accordance with current ASTM standards for your protection, and include extensive research of the history of the property.
The elements of a Phase I include:
- Topographic map review
- Soil survey review
- Aerial photography review for a 50-year period, if available
- Sanborn Map review, if available
- Geologic and hydrologic conditions review
- Floodplain map review
- Inquiry to determine whether County or State environmental offices have site-specific files
- Historic city directory review
- Other miscellaneous documents
Other elements of a Phase I that are considered non scope issues by ASTM include Asbestos-Containing Building Materials (ACBM) radon, lead-based paint, lead in drinking water, wetlands, regulatory compliance, industrial hygiene, health and safety, ecological issues, industrial air quality and high voltage power lines.
TRI/CON has extensive experience in environmental building and site surveys including: mold testing at residential, commercial and government buildings, asbestos management and abatement monitoring at schools, hospitals residential and commercial sites, and lead based paint surveys at schools, residential and commercial buildings.
